The Currie Stormwater Management Pond Retrofit Project involved the excavation of an existing stormwater pond for greater water quantity and quality in the City of Barrie.

 

R&M excavated and re-graded the entire pond, including the forebay, main cell and bypass channel and installed an impermeable pond liner. This project also required the construction of a new armourstone inlet and modification to the existing outlet structure. A new creek was constructed for low flows and a cable concrete access road for future maintenance works was installed.
